• Do you currently accept insurance?

We are pleased to announce that our PMHNP-BC (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified) accepts most major commercial health insurance plans. If you have any questions or would like to inquire about accepted health insurance, please don’t hesitate to contact us. However, please note that our psychiatrist does not currently accept insurance. Our psychiatrist offers the option of self-pay or accepting PPO plans. Additionally, for those with PPO plans, we provide a superbill that you can use to claim reimbursement through your insurance provider. We strive to provide flexible payment options to ensure accessibility to our mental health services. Feel free to reach out to us for further information.

• Do you treat all conditions?

Currently, we do not treat substance dependence/use disorder, eating disorders (anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa), or active thoughts of self-harm/harm to others.

• What should I do if I have thoughts of self-harm or harming others?

If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or harm to others, please reach out to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. In case of immediate danger, call 911 immediately.

• What should I do in case of a life-threatening illness?

In the event of a life-threatening illness, please call 911 or your local emergency services immediately.

Approaching your appointment with a sense of ease and openness is essential. Your psychiatrist is there to support you, so gently gather any relevant information about your medical and mental health history, current symptoms, lifestyle, and medications. It’s okay if you can’t think of everything in advance; there’s no pressure to organize everything perfectly. During the assessment, you may be invited to complete a brief questionnaire, another tool to help you and your psychiatrist better understand your needs. Embrace the process, and remember you’re taking a positive step toward your well-being.

• What are the payment options for psychiatric treatment at Telepsych One?

At Telepsych One, we are committed to providing accessible psychiatric treatment options to our patients. We accept payments through various means, including out-of-pocket or insurance. You can request a superbill from us if you have an out-of-network insurance plan. For your convenience, we offer several payment methods, such as credit cards, ACH, Venmo, or Zelle. We aim to make mental health care accessible and flexible to fit your needs.

Yes, our psychiatrist is bilingual and can fluently speak English and Spanish.

• ¿Qué servicios no ofrece Telepsych One?

Telepsych One provides professional telepsychiatry services for various mental health conditions, such as psychiatric evaluations and medication management. However, conditions such as active suicidal or homicidal thoughts, drug or alcohol addiction, and severe eating disorders may require specialized care that is beyond the scope of our services. If you are experiencing these conditions, it is important to seek immediate treatment at a specialized treatment center or emergency room.
